A Collaborative Journey in Mindfulness and Meditation

I started Wildmind in 2000 as a website where anyone could come to learn to meditate. It’s been a huge success; we’ve had around 15 million unique visitors over the years! Initially, the sale of CDs funded my meditation teaching. Later, donations from participants in our meditation courses played a bigger role.

However, this model has become financially unstable, consuming too much of my time and energy in just trying to keep things running. Plus, its impact on the world is too limited. It’s time for a bigger approach.

We’re moving towards having Wildmind fully supported by many people giving small donations, starting from as little as $6 a month.

Consider “community-supported agriculture,” where small farms are funded by contributions from individual sponsors, who then get a share of the farms’ produce. Our model will be similar. “Community shares” are available at $6 each, and you can sponsor as many or as few as you like. You’ll receive a share of my offerings as long as you continue as a sponsor. This includes exclusive articles, meditation downloads, access to a sponsor-only online community, and new courses I develop. Plus, you’ll be supporting a website that benefits numerous people. I’ll also make my existing courses freely available to anyone interested.

Every sponsor gets the same benefits, no matter how many shares they sponsor. If you choose to sponsor more, it’s because you have the means or the desire to contribute more.

I launched this initiative just over two weeks ago, and we update a live graph as new contributions come in.

If you want to provide more support and can afford to do so, it helps us greatly.

You can become a sponsor by using the PayPal form provided. If you prefer not to use PayPal, you can download a credit card billing authorization form, fill it out on-screen, then print, sign, and return it via mail or email.

Your support is deeply appreciated. The outpouring of love has been amazing to experience. Already, I’m feeling less stressed than I have in years. I look forward to focusing more on sharing my practice with you, my community of sponsors, and helping bring the benefits of meditation to more people.

Looking to become a sponsor despite having a limited fixed income? You can contribute for as long as you’re able. If you find you can’t continue after a year or more, you can stop.

Your contributions are always under your control, and you can cancel any time by logging into your PayPal account.

Thank you!
