“Through the Power of Shared Compassion”

There’s a lovely Pali word, sampiyena, which means “by means of mutual kindness.” This idea of mutual kindness is exactly what’s happening at Wildmind, transforming how we operate.

For a long time, we’ve tried to sustain ourselves by offering online courses for donations. However, this method has been unstable since some months are good and others are not. Consequently, a lot of our energy has been spent just trying to keep the site running, rather than focusing on teaching meditation.

So, we’re switching to a new model. We’re becoming a community-supported meditation initiative. People who want to support us can contribute a small amount each month, and in return, we provide spiritual support.

Our supporters receive access to various resources and guidance. This is a perfect example of sampiyena because it shows mutual care — our supporters take care of us, and in return, we provide them with meditation teachings and support.

Thanks to 400 sponsors, we’re currently 55% of the way to our goal of becoming fully community-supported. I’d love for you to join us! The benefits are great. For just $6 a month (although you can give more if you want), you’ll have continuous access to meditation teachings and be part of an international community. This demonstrates how small contributions from many people can lead to something incredible.

In the future, becoming a member of our community will be the only way to join new courses I develop. Once all the shares in our initiative are sponsored, this opportunity may not come around again soon, so I suggest acting now.

You can sponsor as many shares as you like. On average, most people sponsor two shares. While there are no extra benefits for sponsoring more shares (besides good karma), it’s a way to show extra appreciation if you can afford it. I’d be very grateful if you sponsor more than one share.

Love,
Bodhipaksa
