I’ve been running online courses through Wildmind since 2001, and I believe I might have been the first to offer meditation courses online. Over the years, a lot has changed. We’ve offered courses in various formats, combining background reading material and guided meditations in audio format, all supported by discussions.
This approach worked well for a long time, but with more people accessing our courses on mobile devices, reading has become less enjoyable. Many of us find it harder to stay focused while reading on electronic devices. So, we’re experimenting with courses that are completely audio-based.
This ten-day program includes sessions that are just 10 minutes long, making it easy to fit into your schedule. It will introduce you to ways to calm your mind and create more mindfulness. This observational attitude helps us monitor our experience, let go of habits that lead to stress and anxiety, and encourage habits that promote happiness and wellbeing.
We’ve also adapted our 28-day course from one of our test-and-audio courses. We’ve created audio introductions to the meditations, resulting in an immersive audio experience. These introductory talks replace traditional readings, leading into the guided meditations.
Mindfulness isn’t just for meditation—it’s something to practice in all aspects of life, whether in the supermarket, the car, while eating, or anything else we do. This course will help you learn to meditate and offer practical tips on bringing greater mindfulness to your daily activities.
I hope you’ll join us as we explore these new teaching formats!
