“Nurturing Relationships Through Shared Kindness”

There’s a wonderful Pali term, sampiyena, which translates to “by means of mutual kindness.” This idea is truly coming to life at Wildmind, and it’s changing how we operate.

For a long time, we’ve supported ourselves by offering online meditation courses for donations. However, this approach has proven to be unstable with fluctuating income every month. Instead of focusing solely on teaching meditation, much of our effort has been spent on figuring out how to sustain ourselves financially.

So, we’re shifting to a new model. We’re becoming a community-supported meditation initiative. People who want to help us can contribute a small amount each month, and in return, we offer spiritual support.

Our supporters receive access to a range of benefits. This arrangement is a real-life example of sampiyena, where supporters look after the needs of a Dharma teacher, and in turn, the teacher can guide and support the community and others.

Right now, thanks to 400 sponsors, we’re 55% of the way to our goal of being fully community-supported.

I’d love for you to join us! The benefits are significant. For just $6 a month (or more if you prefer), you’ll have ongoing access to all of our meditation teachings and become part of an international community of hundreds of people. This is the power of many people contributing small amounts toward a shared goal.

In the future, being a community member will be the only way to join new courses that I develop. Once the remaining shares in our initiative are taken, this opportunity might not be available for a while, so I suggest you act now.

You can choose to sponsor as many shares as you like. The average contribution is two shares. There are no additional benefits for sponsoring more shares, aside from good karma, but it’s an option if you want to show extra appreciation and can afford it. I’d certainly be very grateful if you sponsor more than one share.

Love,
Bodhipaksa
