In response to the coronavirus crisis, I created a free course aimed at helping people find calmness and balance during these challenging times. The course included 28 guided meditations and a few written words for context, all delivered via email.
I also included a compassion practice to help us stay open to the suffering around us and within ourselves. This practice is called “Tonglen,” which means “giving and receiving,” and it comes from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. It’s a type of meditation focused on lovingkindness and compassion, reminding us to extend compassion to our own suffering as well. This makes it a valuable self-compassion practice too.
